This piece is called Langston: he has been given new legs to give him a little extra height.  The frame has been stripped and undercoat applied followed by a top coat of “Little Greene, Baked Cherry” in a matt finish then a black wax was applied to give a very subtle aged look.  The heart of this tallboy is the decoupage applied to the drawer fronts and side panels using traditional fabric sourced from Malacca in Malaysia.  The decoupage has been given two coats of varnish for protection.
